She graduated from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 2018 with a MA in International Environmental Policy and Occidental College in 2013 with a BA in Diplomacy and World Affairs and a minor in Urban and Environmental Policy, and worked for two years as the Membership Director of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council. She then spent a year in Thailand as a program coordinator for a study abroad program that immerses students in sustainable development issues. In 2012, she was an intern in the Bureau of Development Policy at the United Nations Development Programme in New York, where she tracked the participatory processes leading to the creation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
