As the head of one of the most established nature conservation organizations, he works with world leaders, corporate executives and civil society to forge a future in which people and nature thrive. He leads a global Network with over 50 years of environmental conservation successes, five million supporters, 25 million followers on social media and activities in over 100 countries. He sits on the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development and on the Board of the International Civil Society Centre. Prior to joining WWF, he served as Chief Executive of BirdLife International where he restructured and led a highly decentralized secretariat, overseeing a global partnership of over 120 civil society organizations across the globe.
