James is pioneering a standardised market approach to natural capital valuation to help unlock investment. James founded Mopane Capital to apply a corporate finance and land market model to properly price and recognise the true worth of natural assets on the balance sheet.

Mopane Capital have conducted close to a billion dollars’ worth of natural capital valuation and associated impact investment advisory work in the last year in sub Saharan Africa and Latin America.

James was previously with the Paul Tudor Jones Family Office and Milton Group – one of the preeminent conservation investors in Africa.

Prior to the Conservation world James worked in the African Agri-investment sector for AgDevCo, Silver Street Capital and Savills International Farmland.
