Melissa works at WWF-Norway as a senior advisor on climate change adaptation, providing technical support to colleagues in partner offices in southern and East Africa. Her main area of focus is on mainstreaming climate change adaptation into their conservation programmes and activities to ensure that their conservation work is climate smart. She has worked in conservation in Southern and East Africa for the past 17 years. For the past 10 years, she has been employed by WWF-Norway where one of her key areas of focus is supporting the implementation and ongoing evolution of community-based conservation in Africa, within the context of global change and disruptions.
