Josep is the managing partner of Okavango Capital, a private equity firm focused on companies that help sustainability, climate, and rural development. Josep joined a buyout team as regional CEO of Weathernews (TSE4825) the world’s leading climate-tech company, which saw the firm listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. For the last eleven years, he has worked in Africa, first as a partner with Conservation Capital (conservation finance), and then as a principal and co-owner of Kibo Capital (an SME focused private equity firm). Josep has degrees in Law from the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, in Spain; and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in the USA.
